Finding my best space--is definately in my office at my computer after all the daily chores have been done including-dishes washed, kids clothes layed out for the next day, kids bathed and asleep-usually not until 8-9PM
Writing techniques
1. Listing - Brainshtoming by listing all your ideas on paper as they pop out of your head.
2. Freewriting - Write on paper whatever comes to mind first and going on from there.
3. Looping - Use lots of pieces of paper, like freewring and finding a center of gravity sentence from them to loop together.
4. The Boomerang - Go over a subject in different directions with opposite points of viewa, as a variation of the above mentioned forms.
5. Clustering - Start in the center of a piece of paper with a main idea in a circle and branch out from that into different clusters of circles.
6. Cubing - Use a 6 sided cube to roll a subject mentally around.
7.Interviewing - Discuss the who, what, where, & whens by interviewing classmates, friends, family or professionals.
8. The Cross Examination - Use the same technique as "the interview", but with yourself.
9. Sketching - Draw, sketch, make cartoons of pictures in your mind as a visual aid.
10. Dramitizing the subject - Like cubing, make a "star" with your ideas at each point and roll them around in your mind as if it were a drama or play.
